Title Specialist
Location: Morgantown, WV
Hybrid 3 days a week in office

Our client is seeking a detail-driven Title Specialist to join their growing team at their Morgantown
headquarters. In this pivotal role, you’ll help ensure the accuracy, integrity, and reliability of land titles that
drive exploration and production success across the Appalachian Basin.
If you have a sharp eye for detail, a knack for interpreting complex legal documents, and thrive in a
collaborative, fast-paced environment — this is your opportunity to make a direct impact on projects that
matter.

What You’ll Do

 Conduct in-depth reviews of Certified Title Opinions and Abstracts to ensure completeness and
accuracy.
 Analyze and interpret legal documents, contracts, and agreements, verifying data integrity across
all title materials.
 Partner with legal teams to identify and resolve title defects and discrepancies, taking curative
actions such as obtaining missing documents or correcting records.
 Collaborate closely with the Land team to maintain an accurate and current internal title database.
 Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to internal stakeholders and clients, providing
precise and actionable insights.
 Stay up to date with industry regulations and title laws, ensuring ongoing compliance and best
practices in all title activities.

What You’ll Bring

 5+ years of experience running and/or reviewing certified title work.
 Strong understanding of mineral tracts, leasehold, and surface ownership specific to the
Appalachian Basin.
 Knowledge of Working Interest (WI), Overriding Royalty Interest (ORRI), and Non-
Participating Royalty Interest (NPRI) ownership.
 Proven ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
 Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
 Exceptional teamwork, communication, and analytical skills.
 A proactive, results-oriented mindset with strong attention to detail.
 Ability to perform light physical activity as part of daily responsibilities, including occasional lifting
(up to 15 lbs) and standard office tasks.

Why This Role Matters

You’ll be a vital part of a collaborative team that supports one of the region’s most active and respected energy
operations. Your expertise will help ensure every title stands up to the highest legal and operational standards
— fueling confident decisions that keep projects moving forward.
