Responsibilities

 Oversee preconstruction for large mechanical scopes from concept to contract
 Lead design reviews, estimating, value engineering, and constructability planning
 Coordinate across design, estimating, and operations teams
 Develop and present budgets, proposals, and technical solutions to clients
 Use software tools for modeling, estimating, and design analysis
 Support contract negotiations and early buyout phases
 Mentor junior precon and estimating staff

Requirements

Must-Haves
 Based in Honolulu or open to relocation
 10+ years in mechanical preconstruction or engineering roles
 Stable work history with large commercial projects
 Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering or related field
 Strong skills in estimating, engineering design, and value analysis
 Excellent communication and client-facing presentation skills
Nice-to-Haves
 PE license (preferred)
 Familiarity with estimating/design tools (AutoCAD, Revit, Trimble, etc.)
 Background in hospitals, labs, data centers, or complex mechanical builds
