Job Description

Our client is seeking an experienced Roadway Design Project Manager to join their Charlotte team.
This role is ideal for a seasoned professional ready to lead high-impact transportation projects, collaborate
directly with clients, and mentor junior engineers.
 Manage roadway design projects, including highways, arterials, intersections, and interchanges
 Oversee project budgets, schedules, scopes, and deliverables
 Ensure compliance with NCDOT and FHWA standards
 Build and maintain strong client relationships, serving as primary point of contact
 Lead proposal development and contribute to business development activities
 Mentor and train junior engineering staff
 Utilize design software such as MicroStation, GeoPak, and Open Roads

Qualifications

 Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering (or related field)
 P.E. license in NC (or ability to secure within 6 months)
 10+ years of roadway design and project management experience
 Strong background with MicroStation, GeoPak, Open Roads, CAD, and Microsoft Office
 Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
 Demonstrated success in business development and proposal preparation
