Job Summary
A large, high-volume manufacturing plant in East Tennessee, part of a global corporation, is seeking a Plant Controller to join the plant leadership team. The Plant Controller will be responsible for financial reporting at the plant and divisional levels and will interact with Controllers at other locations throughout the organization. The role is highly visible and includes leadership of two direct reports.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare the plant P&L statement and support financial reporting at plant and divisional levels.
Perform financial analysis to support plant leadership decision-making.
Reconcile the general ledger and ensure financial information is accurate and complete.
Communicate financial results, analysis, and business insights to plant leadership.
Serve as a key member of the plant leadership team.
Lead and develop two direct reports.
Collaborate with Controllers and finance teams at other locations within the global organization.
Support manufacturing operations through timely and accurate financial reporting and analysis.
Required Qualifications
At least 10 years of experience in manufacturing accounting roles.
At least 3 years of experience as a Controller, Assistant Controller, or Accounting Manager.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a similar field.
Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
Strong financial analysis and reporting capabilities.
Ability to communicate financial information effectively with plant leadership.
Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The company is open to considering experienced Assistant Controllers or similar finance professionals who are ready to move into a full Plant Controller role. The ideal candidate will be comfortable in a highly visible position, able to work closely with plant leadership, and capable of collaborating with finance leaders across multiple global locations.
Work Environment
This is an on-site position at a high-volume manufacturing plant in East Tennessee. The Plant Controller will be part of the plant leadership team and will work closely with both local operations and finance leaders at other company locations.
