Position Summary
The Maintenance Manager is responsible for leading all maintenance operations across three departments,
with a strong focus on electrical and PLC troubleshooting. This role oversees maintenance personnel,
ensures equipment reliability, and drives continuous improvement initiatives to minimize downtime. The
ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in industrial maintenance within heat treat, plating, or
sealing operations, combined with solid technical and leadership skills. The role also requires willingness
to be on-call after hours, weekends, and provide overtime support as maintenance needs dictate.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage 9–12 maintenance technicians across three shifts in the Heat Treat, Plating, and
Locking & Sealing departments.
Provide expert-level electrical troubleshooting and repair on high-voltage systems (up to 480V)
and PLC-controlled equipment.
Read and interpret complex blueprints, wiring diagrams, and electrical schematics for
troubleshooting and modifications.
Develop and implement comprehensive preventive and predictive maintenance programs
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Oversee installation, calibration, and repair of furnaces, plating lines, pumps, and automation
systems.
Manage spare parts inventory, vendor relationships, and maintenance budgets.
Coordinate with production and quality teams to ensure equipment performance and reliability.
Lead safety initiatives and ensure full compliance with OSHA and environmental regulations.
- Support and mentor maintenance staff through training and performance feedback.
Oversee boiler operations (boiler license preferred but not required).
Drive continuous improvement projects focused on equipment uptime and efficiency.
Provide after-hours on-call coverage, respond to emergency maintenance issues, and work
overtime and weekends as required.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training in electrical or industrial
maintenance preferred
Minimum 5 years of hands-on industrial maintenance experience, including leadership
responsibility
Strong electrical and PLC troubleshooting experience (required)
Experience working in Heat Treat, Plating, or Locking & Sealing environments (required)
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams (required)
Proven background in mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic system repair
Demonstrated ability to lead and coordinate multi-shift maintenance teams
Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to make independent decisions
Boiler license preferred (not required)
Willingness to be on-call, work overtime, and support weekend maintenance needs
Working Conditions & Schedule
Full-time, onsite role supporting a three-shift operation
Monday through Friday schedule with frequent after-hours, weekend and emergency on-call
responsibilities
Mix of office and hands-on floor work in a fast-paced metal-processing manufacturing
environment
