Candidates need to have at least 6 years of relevant accounting and finance experience to include assets and
joint ventures. CPA or in the process of obtaining their CPA is preferred.
Fixed assets, joint venture and self-insurance accounting experience – all of which are required for this role.
About the Opportunity
Our client, is a highly respected and growing firm is seeking to add a Financial Reporting Lead to its
accounting and finance team. This is a hybrid role.
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide direction and review for all fixed asset activity handled by the Senior Accountant, including
capitalization, disposals, and depreciation.
Develop, update, and validate consolidated schedules and capital expenditure summaries used by
leadership and external auditors.
Handle financial reporting and compliance requirements for several joint venture entities, applying
GAAP and internal standards.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver partner-ready reports that are timely, complete,
and accurate.
Lead accounting processes for the organization’s self-insured captive, preparing liability and workers’
compensation schedules.
Coordinate with actuarial, risk management, and other groups to assess reserves, validate assumptions,
and ensure reliability of reported figures.
Compile supporting documents for quarterly and annual SEC filings and maintain disclosure
checklists in accordance with GAAP requirements.
Conduct technical research on accounting topics and produce ad hoc reporting when requested.
Maintain confidentiality, accuracy, and adherence to organizational and regulatory standards.
Promote communication, collaboration, and a culture of trust within the team.
Demonstrate consistent, dependable attendance and alignment with organizational priorities.
What You Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; CPA preferred.
At least seven years of progressively responsible accounting experience.
Advanced Excel capabilities and strong proficiency with the full Microsoft Office suite.
Sound judgment, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and a commitment to
confidentiality.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
