Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Electrical PCB Engineer specializing in analog and mixed-signal systems to join a fast-growing, privately held manufacturer of highly engineered electronic products for demanding industrial applications. This direct-hire position offers significant project ownership and the opportunity to manage hardware development across the full product lifecycle, from initial concept and PCB layout through prototype builds, testing, manufacturing release, and factory-floor implementation.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on electrical engineer who can work independently while collaborating effectively with manufacturing, quality assurance, and cross-functional engineering teams. This role provides the opportunity to manage multiple programs and directly contribute to the company’s product roadmap in a high-impact, results-driven environment.

Core Technical Skills

• Multi-layer PCB layout and hardware design.

Daily Responsibilities

• Design, model, and lay out multi-layer printed circuit boards (PCBs) from initial concept through prototype builds, bench testing, and final production release.
• Develop and optimize power supply designs, including robust analog and mixed-signal circuitry for demanding industrial environments.
• Create accurate electrical schematics, detailed engineering specifications, and complete manufacturing Bills of Materials (BOMs).
• Support hands-on prototype builds, initial product testing, bench debugging, and manufacturing startup activities on the factory floor.
• Perform reliability analysis and collaborate with quality assurance teams to support formal compliance, validation, and product testing.
• Manage multiple concurrent projects and design priorities to ensure product milestones and deliverables remain on schedule.
• Collaborate directly with manufacturing teams to transition designs successfully from engineering development into production.
• Support product validation, field testing, and client installation activities as required.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of professional experience in electrical hardware design and circuit troubleshooting with a relevant engineering degree.
• Candidates without a relevant degree must have 10+ years of proven hands-on PCB layout experience.
• Practical experience developing power electronics and power supply systems.
• Experience with analog component selection and mixed-signal PCB layouts.
• Strong proficiency in reading and creating electrical schematics.
• Experience preparing technical specifications and production Bills of Materials (BOMs).
• Strong hands-on experience with circuit troubleshooting, prototype testing, and bench debugging.
• Ability to work independently and drive project deliverables without heavy supervision.
• Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Established residence within a reliable daily commuting distance of the production facility in the Greater Milwaukee / Northeast Wisconsin corridor.
• U.S. work authorization required.

Preferred / Plus Qualifications

• Experience with circuit simulation tools such as PSpice.
• Baseline firmware or embedded systems familiarity.
• Experience with CAD software such as SolidWorks.
• Experience supporting formal product compliance and validation testing.
• Experience working directly with manufacturing and quality teams during product launches and production releases.
• Experience with industrial electronic products or highly engineered hardware systems.

Travel & Work Schedule

The position is 100% onsite and requires permanent residence within a dependable daily commuting distance of the production facility. Up to 20 days of domestic travel per year may be required for product validation, field testing, client installations, and related project activities.
