Job Summary

A fast-paced manufacturer is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead a technical, well-tenured, fully staffed maintenance team. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this role will oversee day-to-day maintenance support, team leadership, plant reliability, troubleshooting, contractors, preventative maintenance, and improvement projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day maintenance support operations, including creating, assigning, and following up on work orders.
• Direct, motivate, coach, and develop maintenance staff across multiple shifts.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and safety guidelines.
• Oversee maintenance of plant grounds and facilities.
• Support and implement plant improvements and capital projects.
• Select, coordinate, and supervise outside contractors.
• Communicate with vendors and order maintenance inventory as needed.
• Enter purchase orders into ERP and/or CMMS systems.
• Maintain reports and communicate the status of current and upcoming maintenance projects.
• Provide technical support for new equipment installations and production issues.
• Coordinate maintenance and equipment safety training.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical equipment problems.
• Perform other duties as assigned by plant management.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 2 years of similar manufacturing maintenance supervision experience.
• Experience working in plastics manufacturing required.
• Experience overseeing maintenance technicians and/or skilled trades personnel.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills, ideally including hydraulics, pneumatics, gearboxes, and related equipment.
• Strong electrical troubleshooting skills, ideally including industrial controls and 480V systems.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Experience with preventative maintenance programs.
• Working knowledge of OSHA safety guidelines and requirements.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Preferred Skills

• Working knowledge of vibration, ultrasonic, and/or infrared analysis for industrial maintenance.
• PLC programming experience.
• CMMS software experience.
• Injection molding experience.
• ERP systems experience.

The candidate should be capable of balancing floor-level maintenance leadership with administrative and planning responsibilities.
