Senior Manufacturing Engineer – Aircraft (110–120K + Bonus)

We have an exciting Senior Manufacturing Engineer opportunity available at a prestigious Aircraft Manufacturer located in beautiful Sandpoint.
This role plays a critical part in supporting final aircraft assembly, driving process optimization, strengthening root cause analysis, and ensuring on-time aircraft delivery.

Sandpoint, Idaho Location:

• Scenic lakeside mountain town.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and improve manufacturing methods including mBOMs, routings, tooling, layouts, and work instructions.
• Support aircraft structures, avionics installation, machining, and final assembly operations.
• Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Drive Lean and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure configuration control and incorporate design changes into manufacturing plans.
• Support make/buy decisions and cost analysis.
• Participate in MRB activities and risk mitigation.
• Train production teams on processes and best practices.
• Partner cross-functionally with Design, Quality, Supply Chain, and Production.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering.
• 7-10 years of Manufacturing Engineering experience (aerospace, marine, or related preferred).
• Final assembly line experience strongly desired.
• Experience with riveting and complex aircraft assembly processes.
• CAD proficiency (Siemens NX preferred).
• Experience with PLM (TeamCenter) and ERP systems (Epicor E10 or SAP).
• Lean / Six Sigma (Green Belt preferred).
• Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
