Job Description:
Collaborate with developers, traders, and quantitative researchers to ensure the stability and
performance of trading systems and core infrastructure.
Design, build, and maintain automation for workflows, data pipelines, and system operations.
Create tools that improve system reliability, observability, and operational efficiency.
Troubleshoot complex issues across applications, networks, and operating systems in
production and staging environments.
Deploy and configure applications using configuration management and infrastructure-as-code
tools.
Manage containerized environments and support deployments to on-premises and co-located data
centers.
Support database administration, monitoring, and performance tuning as part of overall system
health.
Implement and refine logging, metrics, and alerting to ensure rapid issue detection and response.
Document systems, procedures, and runbooks to support repeatable, high-quality operations.
Participate in on-call or rotation-based support for critical trading hours as needed.
Qualifications:
2+ years of full-time, professional experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or a
similar high-performance technology role.
Proven experience troubleshooting application, networking, and operating system issues in
production environments.
Strong proficiency with both Windows and Linux, comfortable working in command-line and
GUI environments.
Solid scripting skills in one or more languages such as Python, Bash, PowerShell, or Ruby.
Experience with containerization technologies, databases, and observability best practices.
Familiarity with data formats including JSON, XML, and Parquet.
Ability to manage shifting priorities, handle pressure, and communicate clearly with multiple
teams.
Detail-oriented mindset with a strong emphasis on documentation and process.
Ability to work on-site in the Chicago office and lift up to 50 pounds when required.
