We are currently looking for a Senior Controls Engineer to join our Addison, TX office. This role
involves implementing cutting-edge automation solutions using PLC, HMI, SCADA, and DCS/Delta
V platforms, leading projects, and collaborating with customers and internal teams to deliver high-
quality solutions.
Role Overview
As a Senior Controls Engineer, you will:
Lead automation projects by designing and implementing control systems for industrial
processes and machinery.
Develop control system architectures, including selecting components, designing schematics,
programming controllers (PLC, DCS/Delta V), and configuring HMI/SCADA systems.
Work with industrial networking protocols (Ethernet/IP, Profinet, Modbus) to integrate control
system components.
Apply programming skills in Ladder Logic, Sequential Function Chart, Structured Text,
and other relevant languages.
Utilize standard programming tools such as VBA, .NET, SQL, and Python for HMI/SCADA
development.
Manage projects up to $10M, including budgeting, scheduling, task prioritization, financial
tracking, and team leadership.
Act as a technical mentor, guiding and supporting junior engineers and technicians.
What We’re Looking For
✅ Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Control, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering or Computer
Science (or equivalent experience).
✅ Experience & Skills:
8+ years of experience in automation and control systems.
Expertise in Emerson DeltaV and experience with PLC-5 to ControlLogix conversions.
Proficiency with PLC platforms (Rockwell Automation, Siemens, Modicon).
Hands-on experience with HMI/SCADA systems (Rockwell FactoryTalk, Aveva System
Platform, Inductive Automation Ignition, GE iFIX, Siemens WinCC).
Strong understanding of DCS platforms (Emerson DeltaV or similar).
Familiarity with Batch/Recipes, OEE, MES, and ERP systems.
Experience across industries such as Semiconductor, Life Sciences, Building Automation,
Food & Beverage, Water Treatment, and Manufacturing.
Knowledge of electrical schematics, control panels, and NEC regulations (AutoCAD
experience a plus).
Team leadership and mentorship experience.
Project management skills (PMP certification is a plus).
Ability to travel up to 25%.
