Fixed Equipment Engineer
Are you an engineer who thrives on problem-solving, innovation, and making an impact?
We’re looking for a Fixed Equipment Engineer to join our client’s team at their plant in Indiana. You
will play a critical role in ensuring the safety, reliability, and efficiency of this advanced chemical
manufacturing facility.
What You’ll Do:
Own & Drive Capital Projects – Manage projects ranging from small-scale improvements
(<$50K) to major initiatives (>$1M) focused on safety, reliability, and compliance.
Ensure Regulatory Compliance – Serve as a key resource for interpreting and
implementing OSHA, ASME, NFPA, PSM, and EPA RMP regulations.
Lead Process Safety Efforts – Oversee Management of Change (MOC) processes, including Pre-
Startup Safety Reviews (PSSR), ensuring safety is embedded in every change.
Strengthen Our Safety Culture – Conduct audits, lead incident investigations, and deliver training
programs to reinforce best practices across the facility.
Provide Technical Expertise – Offer guidance on pressure vessel repair, tank maintenance,
machine guarding, and RAGAGEP interpretations.
Mentor & Develop Others – Coach and support team members, empowering them with the
knowledge and tools to uphold safety and engineering excellence.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or a related field) is required.
Industry Knowledge: Experience in Chemical Process Safety or Combustible Dust environments
is a plus.
Project Management Skills: Ability to lead multiple initiatives and drive projects from start to
finish.
Technical Acumen: Understanding of chemical unit operations, Process Safety Management
(PSM), and key safety standards (OSHA, NFPA, ASME, API).
Communication & Detail Orientation: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a
sharp attention to detail.
Experience with Dust Hazard Analysis (DHA), Process Hazard Analysis (PHA), and regulatory
compliance is a plus.
