Position Summary:
We are seeking a visionary and hands-on Maintenance and Reliability Manager to lead, develop, and
continuously enhance the maintenance and reliability function at our high-volume aluminum extrusion
manufacturing facility. This leadership role is responsible for driving transformational change through
data-driven strategies, maximizing equipment uptime, extending asset life, and ensuring safety and
operational excellence across a 24/7 production environment.
The ideal candidate will bring deep technical knowledge in extrusion press systems and reliability-
centered maintenance practices, along with a proven track record of leading high-performing
multidisciplinary teams through strategic and tactical maintenance initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership and oversight of all maintenance and reliability activities, setting
performance expectations aligned with business goals for safety, uptime, cost, and quality. - Lead the transition from a reactive to a predictive and preventative maintenance culture by
deploying best-in-class methodologies, including RCM (Reliability-Centered Maintenance), TPM
(Total Productive Maintenance), and condition-based monitoring. - Champion a metrics-driven culture using KPIs to assess equipment effectiveness, drive
accountability, and optimize maintenance performance. - Oversee and continuously improve the Preventive and Predictive Maintenance (PPM) programs
to ensure all systems and facility infrastructure meet or exceed reliability standards. - Direct capital improvement initiatives, including equipment upgrades, installations,
commissioning, and lifecycle replacements to support technological advancement and
operational growth. - Manage and optimize the parts and inventory management system, ensuring critical spares
availability while reducing inventory carrying costs. - Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, engineering, and quality to support equipment
standardization, root cause analysis, and systematic improvements. - Mentor and develop a team of maintenance supervisors and electrical/mechanical technicians,
fostering a culture of learning, growth, and technical excellence. - Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and manage the department’s annual operating and capital budgets, driving cost-
effective and sustainable reliability initiatives.
Qualifications and Skills: - Minimum 10 years of progressive leadership experience in maintenance and reliability within
aluminum extrusion or similar heavy industrial environments. - Proven experience with extrusion press systems, die management, hydraulics, pneumatics, PLCs,
robotics, and industrial electrical systems. - Strong command of CMMS systems and reliability analytics software; experience with COGZ or
similar platforms preferred. - Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or equivalent industry experience.
- Advanced degree or certifications (e.g., CMRP, PMP, Lean Six Sigma, RA Plus) preferred.
- Demonstrated success in budget development, cost control, and capital project execution.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence across all
organizational levels. - Ability to lead in a high-pressure, fast-paced, and performance-driven environment.
