Job Summary of the Industrial Maintenance Technician: The Industrial Maintenance Technician will
ensure the facilities are well-cared for and adequate to support the company’s business operations efficiently.
This position is responsible for keeping all assets in a functional state through proactive maintenance strategies
and timely repairs.
Qualifications of the Industrial Maintenance Technician:
- Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in Maintenance with Industrial machine repair experience.
- Machinery maintenance experience in Production Environments.
- Must have a solid understanding of the technical aspects of mechanics, plumbing, hydraulics, electrical, and
HVAC systems as well as skilled in using hand tools, air tools, and overhead hoist. - Must have strong troubleshooting skills and a strong attention to detail.
- Experience working with safety committees and programs. Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
- Ability to read and understand machinery schematics, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic,
construction drawings, civil, structural, electrical, and mechanical. - An aptitude for undertaking administrative tasks such as reporting, budgeting etc.
- Experience in planning maintenance operations.
- Working knowledge of facilities machines and equipment.
- Ability to keep track of and report on activity.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and team player.
- Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to track expenses, manage budgets, and prioritize maintenance projects.
Responsibilities of the Industrial Maintenance Technician: - Responsible for planning and carrying out all maintenance activities including PMs of all equipment, all
facility repairs, managing budgets, parts-equipment inventory, upkeep of the buildings and grounds, and
installation activities. - Organize, and perform all PMs. Monitor PM schedule on Smart Maintenance Program and implement
preventative maintenance schedules and procedures, work order systems, routine inspection protocols to
identify potential issues before they become major problems. - Conduct regular inspections of equipment, buildings and grounds to identify potential issues and prioritize
repairs. - Analyze complex maintenance issues, identify root causes, and develop solutions.
- Identify opportunities to optimize maintenance processes, improve efficiency, and implement new
technologies. - Perform regular inspections of the facility’s electrical and HVAC systems of buildings to ensure
functionality. - Monitor equipment inventory and place orders when necessary.
- Manage relationships with contractors and service providers. Negotiate contracts with external vendors for
maintenance services and parts, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness. Monitor maintenance expenses, track
costs associated with repairs and replacements and manage the department budget effectively. Keep
maintenance logs and report on daily activities. - Ensure health and safety policies, building codes, fire codes and regulations comply. Environmental
regulations and standards are all in compliance with state and local regulations.
