We’re hiring a Power-Focused Electrical Design Engineer to join a highly respected firm known for its
high employee retention (8+ years on average), strong leadership, and meaningful project work in the
heavy industrial sector — including pipelines, refineries, and petrochemical facilities.
This is a direct hire role with a flexible salary range of $110K–$150K, depending on experience. If you’re
seeking a hands-on, technically challenging role in a team-oriented environment, this is absolutely worth
a conversation.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead the development of comprehensive electrical design packages suitable for PE stamping
    and plan check submittals.
  • Create and manage detailed documentation including:
o Load studies, single line diagrams, conduit/cable schedules
o Plot plans, lighting, grounding, and equipment installation details
o Bills of material and construction specifications
  • Perform site walkdowns, factory acceptance testing, and commissioning support for power
    systems.
  • Collaborate with project managers to maintain quality, budgets, and schedules.
  • Support proposals, technical scoping, and cost estimation for new project opportunities.
  • Provide occasional after-hours support to internal or external clients.
  • Travel up to 25% as needed (including air travel) for site visits and client work.

    Technical Experience We’re Looking For
  • 5+ years of experience designing electrical systems for heavy industrial environments.
  • MUST have POWER related Electrical Engineering for medium to high voltage projects.
  • Knowledge of NEC, IEEE 3000 Series, and (ideally) API 500 standards.
  • Proficiency with:
    o AutoCAD and Microsoft Excel
o Power system modeling tools: ETAP, SKM, or EasyPower
o Relay settings: GE Multilin and SEL
  • Experience with area classification drawings, motor schematics, and lightning protection is a
    plus.
  • Strong technical communication and documentation skills are a must.

    Education & Licensing
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering required.
  • FE certification required.

    Why This Role Stands Out
  • Salary range: $110,000 – $150,000, depending on experience
  • Employee-owned company (ESOP) with long-term stability and a strong, collaborative culture
  • High employee retention rate – average tenure is 8+ years
  • Competitive bonus for overtime beyond 80 hours/2-week period
  • Flexible Benefit Time Off (BTO) program – use for vacation, sick time, holidays, or cash out
  • 401(k) match + company-funded health insurance
  • Health club reimbursement
This is a great opportunity to work on challenging, high-impact industrial projects with a team that

values your voice and your growth. If you’re open to learning more, we’d love to connect.
