Job Description:

As an Electrical Engineer your most important qualities will be:

  1. Program and Debug VFD, PLC and operator interfaces. 

·        Programs – Codesys, SQL, Ladder Logic 

  1. Experience with Industrial Power Drive 
  2. Familiar with NFPA 70- National Electric Code 
  3. ULMTR Certification – UL Licensing – company will pay for you to get it, if they don’t have it.
  4. UL/CE/CSA – Familiar with the requirements 
  5. Familiar with ETC Program 
  6. Familiar with Power Systems Design 
  7. Troubleshooting in manufacturing and over the phone with customer 
  8. Customer interface experience 

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and test electrical systems and components, ensuring adherence to industry standards and customer needs. Tasks include creating electrical schematics, power distribution designs, control systems, component selection, and feasibility studies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers and technicians, to integrate electrical systems into products, driving innovation and implementing cost-effective solutions.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and technical evaluations to ensure electrical systems’ optimal performance, reliability, and safety. Analyze test data, propose design improvements, and modify designs as needed.
  • Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, including specifications, design reports, and user manuals, ensuring compliance with codes, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Work with internal teams (manufacturing, sales, customer service) to provide technical support, resolve electrical issues, and assist with customer inquiries and product demonstrations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field required. Previous experience in electrical system design, especially in manufacturing, is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical principles, including circuit design, power distribution, and control systems. Proficiency in CAD software and electrical design tools is essential.
