Position Overview
We’re seeking a dynamic and strategic Director – Aerospace & Defense to lead business development
and drive transformational engineering solutions within the Aerospace & Defense sector. This role is
ideal for a consultative leader with deep industry knowledge, strong relationship-building skills, and a
passion for innovation.
Key Responsibilities
Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with key stakeholders in the Aerospace &
Defense industry.
Identify and shape transformational opportunities by leveraging industry trends and client
strategies.
Lead high-level strategic discussions around the application of new technologies and business
models.
Develop and present innovative, business-aligned engineering solutions.
Ensure alignment and consistency of solution design with its intended business outcomes.
Engage senior business and engineering leaders to support solution implementation.
Facilitate executive-level workshops, strategic roadmaps, and solution-focused sessions.
Support account planning, pipeline development, and strategic growth initiatives.
Monitor relationship health, competitive activity, and progress toward key goals.
Strategize to expand footprint within accounts and outmaneuver competition.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Experience: 12–18 years total, including 5–10 years of experience within the Aerospace &
Defense sector in the U.S. Exposure to international markets (Europe, India) and global
organizations is a plus.
Sales Success: Demonstrated success in selling complex engineering or technology services
within the Aerospace & Defense domain.
Strategic Planning: Ability to understand industry dynamics and craft forward-looking
strategies.
Consultative Selling: Experience in offering tailored solutions through a collaborative, insights-
driven approach.
Executive Communication: Strong executive presence and ability to engage and influence
CXO-level stakeholders.
Analytical Thinking: Skilled at identifying challenges and opportunities, assessing data, and
making sound strategic decisions.
Relationship Management: Proven ability to build impactful relationships with customers,
partners, and internal teams.
Business Acumen: Understanding of business metrics, financial drivers, and organizational
decision-making processes.
Minimum Qualifications
Experience selling engineering or technology services to Aerospace & Defense organizations.
Familiarity with global delivery models, including onsite/offshore structures.
Strong track record of exceeding growth and revenue targets in a consultative sales environment.
