Job Description:
A leading organization in the manufacturing sector is seeking a Commodity Manager to join their
growing team. This role is responsible for driving sourcing strategy, supplier performance, and total cost
improvements across global operations.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement global commodity strategies aligned with operational goals.
- Lead supplier selection, development, and regular performance reviews.
- Negotiate Master Supply Agreements to ensure optimal pricing, quality, and delivery.
- Monitor commodity markets, lifecycle trends, and industry transitions.
- Optimize the end-to-end supply chain and drive lead time reductions.
- Oversee supplier scorecards, quality audits, and compliance reviews.
- Ensure all procurement activities meet legal, regulatory, and corporate standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in engineering, operations, quality, and finance.
- Analyze and report on material price variation (EPPV/APPV) for financial accuracy.
Qualifications (Required): - Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- 5+ years of Supply Chain experience, preferably in manufacturing, ideally with engine
components. - 5–7 years of experience in strategic sourcing, commodity management, or supplier operations.
- Demonstrated success in supplier negotiations and cost reduction initiatives.
- Strong grasp of procurement processes, quality tools, and risk management.
- Ability to travel up to 30% (domestic and international).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills at all levels.
Preferred: - Experience with engine components and related manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency with SAP or similar ERP platforms.
- Familiarity with Six Sigma or continuous improvement methodologies.
- Background in supplier auditing and quality control techniques.
- Strong analytical skills in supplier assessment and market dynamics.
Note: Physical Requirements:
Regular use of computer systems, with occasional standing, walking, lifting (25–50 lbs), and overhead
reaching. Typical office and travel conditions apply.
